I have never used low melt enamel, only the type where I sometimes melt the silver as well.:) can you tell me more about it?

First of all, it's very cheap(always a good thing), and to melt it you use a normal cooking plate(or the oven) It's melts at 150 degree C.

It comes in powder form, and you can not mix it with water(shame on it) and the colours doesn't mix. Meaning that if you want orange you can't mix red and yellow and then have orange. You'll end up with lots of tiny red and yellow dots. but it's of no importance because there is a lot of different colours to choose from.

It's easy to remove(just heat up the piece again, and use something to scrape it of with, or just use your torch to burn it away. You can polish the piece after(doesn't harm the enamel) and you can tumble(?) it.

Thanks for all the info, sounds like a real fun medium to work with especially as you can set a stone directly in at that temperature.
